J.P.’s wedding is a new first for us. His will be the third sibling in his family to trust us with capturing their wedding memories. Referrals are the number one source of business for us and it’s always great to see our clients again and again.

Sandro and Giovanna wanted to make their engagement images at the CNE, the site of their first date. We had a blast walking around the grounds of the Ex like they were rock stars. This image had me laying on the ground, using an off-camera flash and about a 5 second exposure. I love to be challenged by new scenarios. Their late November wedding is our final one for 2009.

Jenna & Kris chose a park by the Grand River for their wedding party images. Kris managed to negotiate with the fisherpersons to give us 15 minutes to make our images. It was bright and sunny that day, and I don’t want to tell you how many little pieces of flotsam and jetsom were on the river that needed photoshopping. Worth the time though, as I love this image.

Jaclyn & Ryan were married in Georgetown on a gorgeous golf course, with gorgeous light. We always attempt this type of image in the late evening, when the sun has gone down and the light is very soft and beautiful. It’s usually during dinner when this happens, so it’s not only a chance for great images, but a bit of fresh air and a few more quiet moments for our couples.

A beautiful portrait of Christine made in the busy lobby of the Ramada in Guelph. Just beyond the edge of the couch on the right is the lobby door that never seemed to close. Seems that 2 pm on a Saturday is a busy time at hotels! Once again, beautiful light helps make this image.

Another image from our CNE shoot with Sandro & Giovanna. When I saw the words on the sign, I couldn’t resist, as this couple is both Italian and stylish.

One of best engagement images I’ve ever made I believe. I scouted out the location in the week before, and saw these murals painted by Hamilton schoolkids. These words didn’t register with me until we actually walking around looking for great light and backgrounds. You can’t argue with the idea exprssed here.

When the location allows, we use what’s there. This gazebo is on the grounds of Glen Abbey in Oakville. Craig & Whitney’s wedding was just a week before the Canadian Open, so a good deal of the course was blocked with scaffolding and temporary stands. Those who are sharper than most will notice we have an unbalanced wedding party. We are seeing that a lot more these days.
